Nathan is a Toronto based projection, lighting, and New Media
designer for theatre and exhibitions. His artistry focuses on
exploring interactive New Media design via experimentation
with new software technologies and interactive tools and
methods. Bruce’s work explores how using the human body
informs design, how design influences the body, and how these
two aspects of his work can be used to create visceral
experiences with interactive technologies.

As a lifelong musician, Nathan regularly involves elements of
music and soundscapes into his work. With the incorporation
of audio into his work, Nathan aims to create experiences that
engage with touch, sight, and sound simultaneously.

Nathan was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia and
relocated to Toronto, Ontario in 2016 to attend York University
for Theatre Production. He graduated in 2020 from York with
a BFA with Honours in Theatre Production and Design. He was
the inaugural candidate in the Design Incubator Pilot Project
created by Lesley Wilkinson: a rigorous training program to help
young and emerging Lighting Designers achieve their fullest
potential.
